Primary Responses Areas: Rocky Hill Borough, Montgomery Township, & Franklin Township

The Rocky Hill Fire Department serves the Borough of Rocky Hill, Montgomery Township, and Franklin Township. To help with coverage and staffing, the department utilizes a stipend/per diem program to staff an engine on various days of the week to supplement the volunteers.

The Rocky Hill Fire Department has an agreement with Montgomery Township Fire District #2 for mutual fire protection in parts of Montgomery Township in close proximity to the Borough of Rocky Hill, such as sections of County Route 518, Route 206, the Blue Spring Road developments, the Stonebridge Community, and new developments built in the business district. In addition, Montgomery Township Vol. Fire Co #2 (Station 46) respond with Station 53 into the Borough of Rocky Hill as part of the mutual fire protection agreement.

As of April 1, 2025, Rocky Hill Fire Department entered into an agreement to provide fire protection services to Franklin Township Fire District #4, which is located in the unincorporated community of Kingston (Somerset County portion). The Department also responds into the lower parts of Franklin Township Fire District #2 to assist the Franklin Township Fire Companies.

The Rocky Hill Fire Department also responds mutual aid into other parts of Montgomery Township, Franklin Township, and Princeton for larger scale incidents.
